OpenJDK Quality Metrics

This is the landing page to track various metrics around JDK quality. The intention is for all of us to watch how the JDK bits are doing at any point of time. To identify areas needing improvement and pitch in where needed to improve the quality to meet the agreed upon JDK quality criteria.

For starters, we are providing below automatically generated metrics: The first will help you get the pulse on the JDK stability, maturity. The second provides data on regressions introduced in this JDK release. For the provided metrics you will be able to drill down to JDK component of your interest, get a sense of it's health and hopefully contribute to the areas with quality shortfalls. Apart from these two metrics, a summary statistics on defects/rfes is also provided.

We are looking foward to feedback on these available metrics, their presentation. Also suggestions around any other JDK quality metrics you might want to view. Just a gentle nudge: When you are about to suggest another metrics to track, please read the Goal-Question-Metrics approach that the JDK team follows when deciding on the set of metrics to watch.

CLOSED If a Bug falls under one of following categories, it is considered to be in CLOSED state.
