FWIW, IcedTea6 (http://icedtea.classpath.org) is built for ppc,
sparc and alpha on Debian:
I don't think anyone is yet producing regular binaries for 7, but I
think it's safe to say that will start to happen next year as 7 nears
release. Until then, you can always download the source from
http://icedtea.classpath.org/download/source/ (icedtea-1.13.tar.gz being
the latest version of IcedTea7) and give it a go!
Unlike the binaries provided by Oracle, those in Debian (and other
distributions like Fedora and Ubuntu) are available under a Free
Software / Open Source license.
