ok, I'm checking in the attached patch as a replacement for
patches/icedtea-sparc-trapsfix.patch, so the local fedora patches can be dropped.

please could you try to build current IcedTea head or 1.7-branch configured with
--with-hotspot=hs16 and see if it does build for you on sparc and sparc64?
