Intel MCU with JCC erratum

Intel ships microcode updates for many of their processors fixing a instability in jump predictions, called the JCC erratum.

It seems to affect jump-happy Usermode applications, and I wonder what performance impact those updates will have on JVM workloads.

And as a extension of this, the toolchain improvements Intel is working on to avoid the problematic jumps, will this also find its way in the hotspot compilers (and the OpenJDK built toolchain)
