I've been chmod'ing those files in my top level build script.
Since this is a development forest, I think warts like that can be
tolerated in the short term.
That's on the list of items to fix as soon as I push the initial changeset.
Also, the hotspot change you identified, does need to be pushed. Until
the patch needs to be applied before it all builds.
