JMC package and linking libraries

When sym-linking all dependent library jars, JMC unfortunately pulls
in eclipse-platform package as a dependency to satisfy some of the
jars. This package brings in 397 M worth of dependencies, even though
the jars that we are interested in are only a tiny fraction of that;
JMC itself is less than 70 M, with the RPM being slightly smaller due
to some features being removed.
I think Fedora's bundled library policy has become less strict but it
would still not correct for us to deliver JMC with eclipse packages
bundled. I don't think there's anything we can do except ask for the
eclipse package to ship sub-packages, if at all possible. Is this even
an issue to worry about?
