Yes. This seems like a fairly modest Java spec enhancement.

If you look at
you'll see it doesn't work anyway. For it really to be useful,
ColorConvertOp(ICC_Profile profiles, RenderingHints hints) would
have to know about ICCColorSpaceExt.
