strange configure error on Linux Mint 18.3

You need to add the corresponding "deb-src" entries for the "deb"
entries in your /etc/apt/sources.list.
On my Debian box, it looks like this:
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
For Linux Mint, you need to use the corresponding line from the
Linux Mint mirrors. After editing the sources.list, you need to
run "apt update".
