The following code:

     static class Foo<T> {
         T get() { return null; }

     public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {

         Foo<LogRecord> x = new Foo<>();
         if (x instanceof Foo) {

doesn't generate any warning when compiled with javac -Xlint:all
