This appears to be Oracle's 6u26 release which has different lineage to 
the OpenJDK jdk6 project. Joe Darcy has a useful blog on the genealogy 
[1] that may help explain this. Also 6u26 is quite very old, you may 
want to try something more recent. If for whatever reason this isn't 
possible then try running without -XX:+UseCompressedOops on the 
off-chance that this may be the problem you are running into.
